Headlamps are more convenient than the flashlight as both the hands can be used at the same time and are free for casting, baiting hooks and rowing. And sometimes the light makes the fishes to spook but these headlights will be torched away from the surface of the water.
During night time fishing, blue green lights are very much preferable by the fishermen than the white light. As the fishes won’t be frightened by the green light and during night, the human eye can adjust better to the blue-green light spectrum.
White lights are used only for the camping excursions as night vision is very sensitive so the bright white light will compromise the night vision. So red lights are best and some fishermen uses red and green light in order to point out their location to other boats around them.
